Joe Frazier Dies from Liver Cancer, Joe Frazier Fallecio de Cancer en el higado

Joe Frazier, one of the biggest sports icons of the 1960s and 70s, passed away a few hours ago from liver cancer at the age of 67. He was diagnosed less than six weeks ago and spent his final days in a Philadelphia-area hospice.

Hace unas pocas horas Falleció el boxeador campeon mundial anoche a la edad de 67 años, famoso en los años 60´s y 70´s, fue diagnosticado con cancer en el higado hace menos de seis semanas y pasó sus ultimos días en un hospicio en el area d Filadelfia.

Hanna knocks out Melisinda in the 7th round

Hanna Gabriels knowked out her Mexican/American opponent Melisinda Perez in the seventh round after punishing her with a series of 16 blows in her face, Meli who was able to stay on her feet after recieving a beating, until she finally fell on to the floor semiunconcious for over 5 minutes.
during the first five rounds Hanna was agresively fighting but several rounds after her energy started diminshing but when she was able to throw some good punches and when Meli felt the impact, she started hyperventilating and that where Hanna took advntage of the moment and ended the fight.
Hanna was accomapnied by her sisters and her mother and father, besides the large public which was of about 12,000 fans that arrived to the brand new national stadium.
According to Hannas Manager, she already has offers to fight in Ls Vegas, Uruguay and China.
Her managers want her next rival to be right handed because her last two fights were with left handed boxers.
In another note, one of the asistants who arrived to see the fight was Boxer Carl Davis who was unable to see the fight because of being detained while entering the stadium, he had an arrest warrant for hitting his wife last March 24th.

Hanna Gabriels noqueo a su contrincante Mexico/Estadounidense Melisinda Perez en el setimo asalto despues de castigarla con 16 golpes en la cara, Meli quien aguantó batante la paliza seguía de pie hasta que quedó se cayó al piso y quedó semiinconciente por mas de 5 minutos.
Durante los primeros rounds Hanna estuvo agresiva pero varios rounds despues fue disminuyendo su energía hasta que le pegó algunos golpes certeros y cuando Meli sintió el impacto de algunos golpes, empezó a faltarle la respiración y ahi aprovechó Hanna para finalizar la pelea.
Hanna estuvo acompañada por sus hermanas y su mama y papa, ademas de la cantidad de público que llegó al nuevo estadio nacional que se calcula en mas de 12,000 aficionados.
Segun el manager de Hanna, ya tiene retos en Las Vegas y Uruguay.
La proxima rival se sabe que quieren que no sea zurda como Melisinda Perez, quien peleó en los ultimas dos encuentros de Hanna.
Como nota aparte, uno de los asistentes al evento fue el boxeador Carl Davis,quien no pudo ver a Hanna porque fue detenido cuando ingresaba al estadio por tener orden de captura por golpear a su esposa el pasado 24 de Marzo.
